Welcome to my blog!
Greetings to the visitors here who I don't know in the face-to-face world: if you blog, feel free to leave a comment so that I can visit you, too.
Apologies to family or friends who have uncovered the blog by accident: I don't do much self-promotion, but I'm glad you're here.
I'm a Catholic wife and mother in the Midwest. My husband and I have six children, ranging from college-age to toddler.
I know that blogs with too many subjects aren't how it is meant to be done. However, since this blog is the online extension of my life, it will include the variety of things that interest me: homeschooling, gardening, books, running, Carmelite spirituality, education, food allergies, photos I've taken when out and about, recipes, and more.
In fact, that's how this blog was given the name, "Irish Stew." It was inspired by the name my children's Irish dance teacher gives to a collection of different dances, all set to the same music. Within one song, dancers take turns doing different steps. I'd like to say that there is one underlying theme to my life, even though I have varied interests. Maybe you can figure it out!
PS: Here is the first post that revealed the launch of this blog onto the unsuspecting world.
