Happy New Year, blogosphere!

I've been neglecting my own blog, as well as most of the ones I read regularly.

December was a difficult month, health-wise. Around Christmas, my body finally caved in. Flu. But a respiratory flu . . . I will take a fever and sore throat over a digestive flu any time.

The nice thing about being under the weather was that I spent the illness and recovery in lots of reading time. Book reading, not online reading. Fiction and novels, at that. Whilst I thoroughly enjoy spiritual reading, current events, inspirational stories (articles, books, and blogs), history books, and so many other non-fiction category reading, there is nothing like curling up with a good, quality novel. Being ill gave that back to me.

Even now that schooling has begun and children's activities have resumed, I am spending my spare moments in the luxury of novels. Thus, not as much time at the computer.

I am still here.  Slowly returning to the desktop.

Wishing everyone the best in 2016!
